I just had my third child a month ago and i ate alot during that pregnancy i was like you i could eat healthy all up until after lunch but i tried to go for a walk every afternoon and it seemed to help a little but i guess we are pregnant so i don't think it matters that much as long as your prepared to loose the weight afterwards

Haha you and me both hunny! I have always been a healthy eater. But when I got pregnant, I was sick the first 10 weeks. The only thing I could keep down was instant potatoes and easy mac lol. Then when the nausea went away I tried to go back to healthy eating again and none of those foods were good to me anymore. I tried. I still eat a good breakfast and a healthy mid morning snack, but lunch EVERYDAY is a can of spagettios, raviolis or beefaroni. Then I eat chips or something in the afternoon and dinner is just junk every night cuz my husband is the anti veggie lol. I hope this baby comes out alright.

Common sense in eating is the most effective way rather then having to diet. A variety of different foods daily is the best method and by not buying and over doing a tremendous meal. Substitute potato's with rice at meals. (How many over-weight Asians have you ever seen?) I made a habit of learning how to cook when stationed in the Far East in different countrys and found it amazing and learned at the same time that their methods were not only great tasting but healthy too. My doctors are always amazed because my cholesterol is always in the same level (good) and it's because I eat healthy. So my advice to you is to check out the cooking methods used in Asian countrys and eat right....... I did.

Always have fruit and fresh veggies in the refrigerator. The easiest to handle (as in no prep work) for fruits would be cherries, grapes, plums, nectarines, bananas and oranges. I don't know if canteloupe is still available where you are, but I like to cut them up into bite size pieces and keep in ziplocks. I keep celery sticks, carrot sticks (or the mini carrots) and cucumber sticks ready to have with some homemade, low calorie dip/dressing. Whip up some cottage cheese, plain, low-fat yogurt and low calorie mayo with seasonings you like. It really makes things easier when you are armed with these things always handy. Best of luck!

Metabolism is actually the rate at which your body processes the "fuel" you put into it. A big part of metabolism is based on genes, so you can't completely control it. Another thing you should think about is you are only 12! Why are you so worried about your weight?? I understand if you were overweight, but 77 pounds is next to nothing!! I think it's great you want to be healthy, but be very careful that it doesn't go too far and become an obsession. You should try talking to either your doctor or mom, or if that makes you uncomfortable, try the school nurse or a guidance counselor. Good luck with this sweetie.

Also, just eating healthy, regular excercise, and *very important* getting enough sleep also help with developing and maintaining a healthy metabolism.

I hear ya girlfriend! There have been many times where I've sat back and wondered the same thing! I do the opposite too - sometimes there are days where I just am not hungry. I'll force food down but ugh it's a battle! My mother-in-law reassures me things are fine, and my mom tells me she was prescribed a can of beer for sciatica. They both go on to say that "Women have been having babies for CENTURIES.." and that reminds me that we are all human and we're going to make the babies our body's intended to do. I still ask the question now and again though because let's face it, we wonder these things! As long as you don't have McDonalds all day everyday I think you're all set ;) Swing in a fruit and veggie to make yourself feel better, that always works for me. What else is good is the smoothies at Dunkin's! Sure they have sugar but so doesn't key lime pie! And so what! Just be careful, you'll know what's best :)

i like whole wheat wraps. they come with 8grams of fiber and u can put anything in yhem u want to. example: iuse lean hamburger, diced onion, cut up garlic, cut up bellpepper, tomatos, fresh jalapenos, lettuce. this is just 1 of mine. but u can use any type of meat like cut up chicken ******* or sausage. of course the fresher the veggies the better.

u r doin better than i did with my 1st i had a chippy nearly every day for dinner and it wasn't till after i had my son that i regretted it. i had a healthy lunch and ate loads of fruit and veg but always failed at dinner time.this time i have been better but still i had had the odd take away or even just a bigger portion i think that mums should b aware of what they eat while they are preg but also relax just cant help those craving and over 66% of woman crave un healthy food when they are pregnant. as long as you keep up your vitamins and fiber iron etc u will b fine. don't worry and good luck with your pregnancy. im cravin choc like mad cnt go a day without a bar!
